Morisoli Vineyard
Where it all began: the backbone of our Elyse's flagship wines since 1987.
Location
Planted first in 1880, Morisoli Vineyard is located at the dead center of the Rutherford Bench's alluvial fan, next to some of Napa's most famous neighbors.
Dirt
This famously "dusty" dirt is a harmonic convergance of ancient ocean floor, volcanic activity, and bedrock upthrust from seismic activity.
Ancient Vine Zinfandel
Morisoli's Old Vine Zinfandel, planted from 1902 to 1908, is still in production today. We have been working with Morisoli Zinfandel and the Morisoli family since 1987.
Climate
Morisoli's warm weather combined with gentle afternoon breezes fosters a long growing season, which creates some of Napa's most complex Cabernets and Zinfandels.
Wines
Each year Elyse makes two Morisoli Wines: a Cabernet Sauvignon and an old vine Zinfandel, each laced with seductive Rutherford tannins.
